Maybe got a few years reprieve in Alaska?

Don't you wish some more folks had recorded such goings on, even if
on those little cheapo plastic groove-it-yourself disks? I once talked
to a ham fellow who had been some kind of communications officer
on an admiral's flagship in the Pacific, told me he had recorded some
TBS wartime traffic on disks, but didn't know where the disks went, and
who knew they would be of interest when the big show was closed?
But who realizes that the world is constantly changing beneath their feet,
and that these times right now are the good old, historic times?
BTW, i found your post very interesting, and i suspect the hardcore
readers of the list, true afficionados not just utilitarians, will feel the
same.
