Went to see an exhibit called "Memories of WWII" at the
Texas State Fair yesterday. Integrated into the displays
were excellent examples of SCR-274N, TBY, TBX, TCS, SCR-300,
BC-611, BC-742 and even a Japanese model 95.
The TCS display was interesting. The sets sat side-by-side
on an operating table. The set-up included external speaker,
antenna tuner, key and microphone. Most interesting-
there was a large insulator on one back corner of the table,
mounting a whip antenna. It was provided with a binding post
and antenna lead to the TCS transmitter.
Is this outfit "official" and, if so, what's its nomenclature?
