[Milsurplus] Reluctance for ebayers to sell overseas

When I was stationed in Germany 1967-1971, our next
door neighbors were tri-lingual. German and English,
plus Spanish for husband and French for the wife.
My wife and I took conversational German classes when
we first got there. When my wife and neighbor wife
came to an impasse where they couldn't make the point
in German or English, they went to French which my wife
studied in high school and college for four years.

In the most part the Germans are tri-lingual or more.
Including English and or some one in the immediate
family. I think English has been mandatory in most
of Europe except France for over 40 years.
France, God forbid!!
