Hi Marty,

It sounds like you may be referring to the AN/ARC-27 UHF-AM set, whose shock
mount was the MT-882/ARC-27.

The RT-178/ARC-27 was a light-weight cream-puff (only 71 lbm), compared to
the HF-AM/CW  RT-128A/ARC-21 (132 lbm).

The actual shock mounts for the AN/ARC-21 were part of the 18-inch diameter
drum-barrel pressurized case of the RT-128A.  The mounting plate attached to
the aircraft was the MT-971/U.  I'm guessing that the MT-971 is rather rare,
though one would think there should be a bunch of them in the desert at D-M
AFB.
