Mac,

I knew that you probably were.  I didn't run out and open up an FT-241 
(they're a little more trouble than opening most FT-243's) but you can't put a huge 
crystal into a small holder.  By comparison, the MF/LF crystals supplied with 
the CDA-T (p/o AN/ART-13B) are in the large 3-pin holder also used with the HF 
TCS and some others.  But four or six FT-241's would fit into the same 
volume.
