Pete, Mike and the Group,
All my manuals and equipment are in storage right
now, so I can't provide any details, but to answer
Pete's question about muting, the RA-10 ( and the MN-26
as well) have a relay in them that is keyed by the PTT
line and grounds the receiver audio path, I think at
the grid of the audio PA tube, but I'm not too sure
of that detail.
Mike is correct, the interconnection between the
units is not straightforward. I had to homebrew up
a replacement for the MT-51 transmitter control box
(anyone have an extra they'd like to part with????)
even with a manual, figuring it all out took a bit
of study and thought.
It is a worthwhile set to get running, I think you'll
be surprised at how well it all works. My TA-12/MP-28
came up with no problems, but the RA-10 needed a wholesale
replacement of the dreaded Micamold paper capacitors.
(This applies to the MN-26 compass receiver as well,
also an interesting set to bring back to life).
