Hi Dennis and all,
A couple of years ago I purchased parts for my M561 Gama Goat from seacoast Surplus. A month after sending off a money order I could get no response to my email or phone calls. I posted to several MV groups wondering if the fellow was sick or hurt or dead even. I then started getting email from several other folks, some of which had sent thousands of dollars for parts and could get no resonse either. I started a communications blitz on the owner of said business and started to warn via internet groups the dangers of doing business with Seacoast surplus. That got that fellows attention. He posted personal attacks against me on the MV list, calling me all sorts of names and saying I was trying extortion tactics, I just firmly presented the facts. Myself and several others filed complaints with the ICC. and law inforcement in the locality where we had sent payment. At that point the parts I had paid for arrived, six months late.
Seacoast surplus had already been banned from ebay. I think I might have been one of the more lucky ones that actually recieved what I had paid for.
A month or two later there was a posting from Seacoast on the MV list selling parts again, shortly after that the owner stop all communications again, and I heard a rumor that he was relaxing in a jail cell somewhere.
Cheers,
John Cook

Anyone know anything about a place called Seacoast Surplus? Put some stuff
up on eBay a couple of years ago. No longer on the Bay, however, and their
old e-mail address (SeacoastSurplus at worldnet.att.net) doesn't work either.
