[Milsurplus] Amplifier Data

Greetings,

Can someone help me with the design of a linear amplifier using 833 tubes? I am
collecting parts and have the basics of the power supply, 833 sockets, oil caps etc. but I
need the RF design. A quick look into the ARRL handbook shows other similar tubes in
linear service - but I surely would like to take advantage of some existent 833
engineering. I am thinking grounded grid and parallel 833s with an application to 160M -
perhaps also 80M and 40M - but mainly 160M. Application will be AM only.

There must already be some design data out there -

I am concerned (for example) with the bi-filer filament chokes - why bi-filer? wouldn't
two chokes work? Also I have heard you can run the fil. Xformer at RF above ground and
put chokes in the AC line input to the fil. transformer.

Any suggestions, directions, links and/or actual schematics much appreciated.

thanks,

            Bill and Arlene Hooper
