I goofed - I have a data base containing voltage and current requirements
for a whole bunch of military radios.
I copied and pasted from the wrong row...
Of course it's 1000 VDC and 24 VDC...

You're thinking of the ART-13.
BC-375 needs only 24 VDC and 1000 VDC.
It will run just fine on lower B+.
