Hi Brad,
Most if not all the "C" models were recalled to be modified to include the LF Band which then made it an "S" and should have two nomenclature tags.If yours does not have the LF band then you have a rare unmodified "C".If you have the LF band then you have an "S" which is the equivilent of an "R".
 Check out this great article:

What serial number is your "C" and "S" if yours is one?

 Enjoy,
        Jay

Subject: [Milsurplus] BC348-C

Hi all,

I have a BC348-C (RCA) that I am hoping to restore to as close
to original as possible. Has anyone got pics of the inside of one of these
units?. I have to replace an IF can & circuitry, re-wire the chassis & put
back the dynamotor mountings.

It's amazing the amount of holes that people put in the
front panel when modifying these units!

Regards, Brad
