I took mine apart and soldered up 3 mercury cells and put them inside.Just do it quick and dont let the cells stay hot too long.

Thanks much, I'll do just that. I got a Manual, but hadn't seen where it
referred to the voltage, just called it the "bias battery." Probably
didn't get there yet.
