[Milsurplus] Auction item pictures - reused?

This is from memory so I don't have names and item numbers but there are at
least two vendors on the e-place who seem to routinely reuse pictures
without saying so, so the item you receive will not be exactly what was
pictured. One vendor is from Italy and a readily (and often) seen example
is the GRC-9 power cable he offers. He's been using the same picture for a
year now, with the same little split in the cable. I think the aircraft
surplus place(s) do the same thing for at least some items. I don't
usually bid on their items or save the pictures but some of the pictures
look very strangely familiar. This could be a minor point for items in
really good condition but also can lead to big disappointments.

Robert Downs, on the other hand, makes it quite clear that his GN-58
pictures are representative of the NOSB units he has been offering.
