Clete,
It may very well have been a loose setscrew or something, though I was under
the impression that all the gears etc were "pinned". Just to make sure it
stays in case that was the cause, I went through and tightened all setscrews
I could find. None seemed loose. I plan on doing the "preliminary" RF
alignment today. On BA's I've worked on, I always do a preliminary
alignment then run the radio for a period of time (days or weeks) and then
go through the alignment again in case anything like DeOxit etc "cooks out"
or other parts settles in.
