[Milsurplus] All of a sudden-message attachments? What gives?

Sometimes Juno decodes non-ascii text as a "text"
attachment. If the sender is using the AVG virus
protect program, the statement that the message
is virus free as checked by AVG will end up as a
text attachment when it hits Juno subscribers.

Group:

Recently, many but not all of the posted messages show to include an
attachment of some ilk. Shows up as "text/plain" on Juno. Since I seem
to recall being advised by the moderator that the QSL/QTH servers
specifically do not pass attachments among other things, I have avoided
opening any of these, as I really don't want to have to waste time
eradicating another virus. Anyone know the skinny on what is going on?
