The challenges with the ARC-2 are:

1. wide selectivity - kinda like using a 3-6 Command Receiver

2. IF freq CHANGES along with the main tuning. IF is variable
1-1.5 MHz.  This makes it a hassle to use a conventional outboard
Q device. Some use an outboard receiver to copy the 1 - 1.5 MHz
IF. I think that 2-armed tuning is mickeymouse. ( Sorry, Mickey. )

3. On CW, there is no offset. 

So, i am thinking, i need a small outboard accessory box, with 2 knobs:
Selectivity
CW offset
