Ah,
Actually, it isn't "WAR", it is subtlety. Border guards and Customs agents
are usually
the first people, foreign visitors meet and interact with, upon arriving in
"Our" country!
All of these individuals (Guards and Agents) are representatives of the
American
people, of which I am a member. If you worked at a business where you
interacted
with the public, and did something like this, causing people to not want to
do business
there, you would be told, "Your services there are no longer required", same
thing
so happen to those Ahem, people.
I don't stand on the Border to welcome, or turn away people, except by
proxy, as in
the elected officials delegated this task to someone who said they
could/would do the
job in my place. If that person/ or persons, does not carry out my wishes,
as his
ultimate employer, it is incumbent upon me to investigate, and take the
necessary
actions. Rudeness, is a crime, and one which I think, should punishable by
Death!
As has been demonstrated numerous time here in America, if you let it go
unanswered,
it grows out of control, and causes pain and suffering to others.
Nothing says, those guards have to be rude, they chose their attitude, and
use the
uniform and position to express that attitude. Now if that had been an
American, would
the same thing have happened, probably yes. It would have probably been
followed up
with litigation of some sort, on the part of the offended party. Which would
end up with
further taxation on the rest of the country, in order to compensate said
party. So the
up side is lots of people take their attitudes to work, but they DON'T let
them spill
over into their work area.
There will be more incidents of this nature, and it will make lots of people
angry! How
angry has yet to be determined! Those who do not study history, are destined
to
repeat it!
