[Milsurplus] need info on R-1414 HF receiver

Hi John,
I was looking for the info for a local friend, who came home with this
receiver from a hamfest in Atlanta. He's not on this mailing list.
No, the R-1414 doesn't like anything like the R-1449, except for the similar
Nixie frequency display. The shape factor is also different. It's larger and
the width of the front panel is about 3 times the height, olive drab color
with GRC-style knobs.

I seem to recall hearing it's related to the Watkins-Johnson/CEI
model 357. A manual for the 357 can be found at:

My R-1449/WLR6 is also said to be related to the 357. Pictures

The R-1449 is also by Sylvania, but most modules and PC boards
labeled CEI, which was aquired by Watkins-Johnson.
