I have a late 1950s-era flight manual for the USAF C-47 which lists the
AN/ARC-8 or AN/ARC-65 as equipment that could be found in some aircraft.
I'd assume that if they put the ARC-65 in C-47s, they'd also put them in
some of the C-118s.

I suspect that the AN/ARC-8 (ART-13, BC-348) was common, perhaps replaced
later by the AN/ARC-21 predecessor to the AN/ARC-65. I saw a AN/ARC-8 set
still installed on a C-131 (T-29) aircraft in USAF service (not reserves) in
1970.
