[Milsurplus] RS-1 to AN/GRC-109 to RS-6

Clete, did you ever hear of the term "Operation Armegeddon" while you were
in the 1950s USAF ? Or- did the program actually have a different name?
Were you aware of the training going on in Colorado, with the rescue planes
practicing landing on high country grass fields?
I wonder when that program was actually canned. I surmise it didn't 
last past 1955 - 56, but that's just my guess. As far as i can tell, the RS-6's
started leaking out  to hams by 1957...
