Perhaps I was mistaken in comparisons with the SRR series and should
have looked back further to German designs of the second world war, can
see some of the modular casting and non standard tube design used their,
but it's the optical projection system that's the interesting part.
Anyone have any idea what the earliest use of an optical projection
display was? Also I recall their was a navy signal generator or
frequency meter with similar display, any idea what that was? The next
radio I will be receiving is Russian R-311 receiver, from only seeing
pictures it appears to be more directly related to German design.
