About 5 years ago I had a thing for Mercedes Unimogs* and ended
up buying one. While the German model I bought had all its radio
gear taken out, some of the (more expensive) Swiss models that the
dealer had gotten in had GRC-9's in them - some tagged as last being
inspected during the 90's. Whether they were actually being used --
or just marked off -- is another story. I do know for sure that several
local KY Army Guard units still had GRC-19's and PRC-6's in storage in
the early 80's. (They didn't use them ,they just had them in storage...)
