[Milsurplus] Control Box ID Help Needed (Bendix Model 3620)

In a small swap deal today, I acquired a control box labeled "Model 3620 
Station Box" and made by Bendix.  Side of box has an "A-Crown-M" tag.  Has a US 
yellow Servicable Material tag affixed that gives 2C7946 as the Sig Stock 
Number.  But my earliest edition of Sig 5 is 1947 and it isn't listed.  Front panel 
has a two-position rotary switch marked "TR9    BENDIX" for the two positions. 
 Couple of other switches but no tuning dial(s) so I'm suspecting that it's a 
crew-member's box.  Ring any bells with anyone?
