The Beacon receiver, the BC-1206 used 28 volts on plates and filaments.
The tubes were  14H7,14J7, etc. The audio was a 28D7 which had 2
pentodes inside one bulb. This could give about 1/2 watt with 28v on
plates. There was an similar octal based tube.

The 6AJ5 as used the the glide path receivers, was designed to operate
with 28 volts and screens. I don't know if this tube was used in the
