tetrode, popular in hi-fi and bass-guitar amps. Originally made by 
Tung-Sol. Svetlana SV6550C is excellent, reliable, and will replace any 
type 6550. Rebiasing of some older amps may be required to let them accept 
SV6550C.

6550A--uprated version of 6550, 42 watts dissipation instead of 35 watts. 
Made by GE and Sylvania in 1970s and 1980s.

SV6550C is exact replacement for all 6550A types. Rebiasing of some older 
amps may be required to let them accept SV6550C. Suggest contacting an
