Interesting, never saw one that finished like that, usually some shade of OD/Green.  The name plate was usually located above the DIAL ZERO knob.  Any sign of mounting holes?  Also, how about the knobs, i.e., black wrinkle too?

I know of no other way to ID the different manufacturers but maybe someone else has info.

Yes, they are very good receivers.
