I can't say that there were never any black BC-669-D's, only that I've never 
seen one that hadn't originally been Signal Corps Green (which is not the same 
color as OD, BTW.  OD is much darker.).  BC-669-C and earlier were all black 
wrinkle, AFAIK.  Have about six of them right now.
