Jack
Use to maintain ARC-3s and ARC-27s when I was in USAF in the early 1970s.
And I was in Ground Radio*! In that time, only had one problem with an
ARC-3. A bad channel cause by associated crystal. Dropped the crystal
about a foot off of the bench to repair it! ARC-27s seemed less reliable
then the ARC-3s but that may be because they were used more often.
Regards,
Jim
*For whatever reason, at Mactan, RPI, the MPN-13 Comm gear was the
responsibility of 305X4 types.
