[Milsurplus] Tower Construction

My Rohn book doesn't give any info on using 55G
in a self-standing mode. However, the allowable
height for 45G unguyed is 57.8 feet with 2 sq ft
load at 70.7 mph with a safety factor of 1.5.

The total height would, of course, decrease as you
add more antenna. Basically, you're on your own.

I wouldn't hesitate to put something like a Bencher,
SteppIR, Force 12 4 element array at 35, maybe
40 feet. Stick a set of Phillistrand guys at 30 feet
or so and same antenna at total of 45 would be
better.

I am contemplating placing a 10 foot section of Rohn 55G halfway in a cement
base.

Could someone suggest how many section could I add if the tower were
self-supporting.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you
