I never saw Henry's sand-state BC-348 or any other one but did find a LARGE
e size schematic for solid state conversion of an RAL folded into an RAK/RAK
manual. The schemo was professionally reproduced from a regular schemo then
all the FET changes done by a draftsman.....very nice work. Steve Finnelli
said he has seen solid state power supplies for the TCS. Not sure who would
have done the BC-348 but the RAL drawing could have been a Navy effort
diuring the transition from bottles to rocks. Often thought about trying the
FET conversion on a junker RAK just to have a VLF classic on transistor
radio batteries.
