Well, I defer to the AN/ARN-1 manual - it says that the connectors are
Navy Type 49195, otherwise known as the PL-259 or UHF type.

I think you may be thinking of the connectors on the SCR-518 (Navy
AYA). These look like MS connectors. The antennae use a wired hardline
looking thing.
