It is obvious that it is a radio transmitter. One can see the tuning
coil and the capacitors attached to the generator to create the warble
FM sound when the crank is turned. Instruction plate also states the use
of an antenna and a counterpoise. Looks like it can be keyed with the
internal switch, or with an external key. Definitely an FM modulated,
keyed, radio transmitter. No provisions for a handset. 73 - Mike

The Unusual German Radio is a German emergency radio just like the
USA Gibson Girl. there are a few made of it.
