I just got a '25 running lately.  Shorted .1uf oil-filled was all.

The Xtal calibrator gives it a leg up over the 'must have' 25F.  Then
the 25F comes apart better & has uvolt-calibrated attenuator.  So
the 25D makes one do the log-10 math in one's head.

Oh, yup, and the 25F has intervening divide-by-2 (3 db) steps too.

If set out @ a hamfest, those that know smirk & say "it's not an F."

I sure wudn't think of blueprinting my BC-454 w/o 3db steps.
