That's a LST radio room in 1952 with kb8npr @ mike. He visited LST325
at Louisville (Jeffersonville)

My favorite is the set in the corner under the TCS

And... observation dept.

   i. the McCook cudn't have come in & laid down fire 'til it was known
Pt. du Hoc wasn't a threat. 10A earliest.

ii. 611 relay thru Sherman 508. Know Navy had att'ly 608s (27-38) but
dunno abt armor 508s (20-27 fm). Think 608s picked 'cause
       smaller antennas

Met a W5 @ Shelby 5 yr.s back. Was on a fleet tug that had FOUR
       946 V-12 "LST/streamliner" diesels. His had a 659 on stern to
work shore for beach drag-offs. Hams used 659s to talk all
over Pacific on 27-38 sporadic E in spring of '45 - at least so
       sed he.

iii. sevaral shots of BC1000s being lugged ashore. I dint c a 659
       backpack.

iv. Screamin' mimi. The narrative was dead-on about the radio "walking
the naval gunner" right in to a direct hit.

And all we'll ever be able to do is guess that radio's identity
