Hard to imagine that its practical to receive highly shielded
oscillators in car radios and for it to be useful at any distance, that
coupled with background ambient noise, and if you consider most FM car
radios have a 10.7 MHZ IF so some LO frequencies would fall in the FM
band or into television channel six. has anyone actually seen one of
these signs? I have seen television monitoring that tracked changes in
the horizontal timing to identify what channel was being watched, but
that was "squirrley" at best, although the people who do it claim its a
exact science.
