Looking to make some room so I can get organized. Well, one can always
dream of being organized! Goes to the best offer or trade, if not here
then the ePlace. Pictures upon request.
Chest #1,
CH-72-A, S/N 14121, Order Number 2514-CH1-42, Galvin Mfg. Corp.
According to Chesson, used with the BC-506
It is complete, will all partitions, covers and straps. Seems to be
missing two small brass hinges for an inside compartment door but
otherwise complete. These hinges appeared to have been nailed, not
screwed? Good paint, looks like it was well treated.
Chest #2,
CH-251. According to Chesson, part of the SCR-299, 399, 499 for coils
and TUs. It is gutted of all partitions but looks good on the outside.
About the size of a 50s era suit case, not the oversized ones you see
today.
Hallicrafters transceiver,
BC-699-B with PE-110-C and RM-21-C. Missing two small covers over
adjustment areas on front panel of the BC-669 and bottom cover on
PE-110-C. Paint is good, no rust or signs of varmints. Cord from RM-21
to BC-669 and cord from PE-110 to BC-669 are included, although rubber is
cracked. I don't have power cord for PE-110-C to AC mains. Would think
it is to big and heavy to ship by UPS, but we can make arrangements to
meet if desired. I took this beast to the OKC Hamfest, lots of smiles
and nods from the older Hams, the younger set just shook their heads and
twisted a few knobs! Could trade this for a receiver, looking for an
AR-88, CR-88, R-390 non A, R-391 or other radio in same weight class. 8^)
The above now resides within ZIP 71913
