Wow, and I thought all that stuff was true. Think one of my favorite
article in one of the early CQ was about how the Soviet Union was
training mass amounts of engineers and technicians and how they will
soon surpass the west and be the world leaders in science and
technology.

Yes, good ol' Wayne/W2NSD ... He knows everything.  Just ask him if he
does!

At the very least, he can tell you about aliens and UFOs, or about how
the U.S. faked the Apollo landings, or about the promise of cold fusion,
or about how he won the entire war in the Pacific as an enlisted
submariner, or about how the dental industry conspired to ruin all his
teeth, or about the latest research that he and his fellow scientist Art
Bell are conducting, etc. etc. etc.  The original P.T. Barnum and head
clown of ham radio!  He was goofy when he was still with "CQ Mag" in the
1950s.
