And I thought I had the only one.. Mine's working but missing one 
of the front end tubes. strange tube requiring the blower to air 
cool it. EMP protection I think.

Do both IF's work on yours? Mine has one out.. Got a manual on 
that beastie?

I have for sale an LTV G175F VHF receiver.  This was actually 
made by CEI and modified for aircraft use by LTV sometime in the 
early 1960s (1963 judging by date codes).
