Greetings,
During a visit last night, while searching the dungeon and catacombs at the
QTH of my pacrat mentor, we came across a RT-1336 225-400MHz xcvr. I
remember that Toronto Surplus had one on the website:
(http://www.torontosurplus.com/com/com10.htm#|42 then look down to "M"
for maganavox) for a price that must have been based on weight. This
radio seems to be a data only radio? Has anyone out there had any
experience with it? As it is moving to my home, I was hoping that I might
be able to use it as AM RX for mil. air stuff. I ask forgiveness in
advance for posting this on the BA reflector as well, as it does have an
LCD display. However, the weight of the beast surely offsets the age
issue.... at least a little.
P.S. In case I forgot anyone, thanks for the many replies to my RBM-5
query. It is in my home now, helping to warm the house this very cold
winter and working just fine.
