Over the weekend I ran across a copy of a 1968 USA STRATCOM
Equipment Planning Guide, which had a picture of an AN/FRR-41
Manson stabilized R-390A system, and based on a comparison of the photos
at the below URL and the guide, there is some similarity between the
two gray Manson units, except that the Manson in the guide has
some type of tuning mechanism to the left of the air intake.
I can scan the page and send it as a PDF file, but there really isn't
much detail in a 6 foot rack rescreened for photo printing.
By the way, I also ran across a Northern Radio TTY diversity
receiving system that used National NC-183DR receivers, their
type 110, model 3 or Type 133, model 1. The Northern Radio
Type 110, model 5, used SP-600 receivers.
