To add to Dave's input:
Frequency range - 27.0 to 38.9 MHz in 100 KHz steps.
Two channel xtal controlled receiver. The transmitter locked to the
receiver frequency through an AFC loop arrangement.
FM, +/- 30 KHz deviation
Rated at 1.3 W out.
Range - up to 3 miles.
6/12 vdc input with PE-117 vibrator PS
6/12/24 vdc input with PE-120 PS
115vac in with RA-120 (?) PS
Also battery powered with CS-79 case
Weight - 55 lbs with vibrator PSs
Fourteen tubes, 1.5 and 3 V. loctals
"Artillery" pack/vehicular set. Mounted in M10 and M38 Tank Destroyers,
Howitzer Motor Carriage M43, various other vehicles, and lugged out into the
field with the battery pack. The navy used the set with the 10 channel
SCR-608/628 for ship-to-shore comms. Still in use during the Korean War. The tankers
had an equivalent set in SCR-506/510 that covered the lower FM band in use by
the Army at that time.
