Chirp sounding can be done using either vertical incidence or oblique
methods. The vertical system has the transmitter and receiver
collocated near the antenna. Oblique sounding typically has the
transmitter and receiver located at the ends of a path. There are
currently dozens of oblique sounders all over the world some use
omnidirectional antennas and others use rhombics. You can receive them
