Is this a "communications receiver" or a "Selective Voltmeter?"   (or SLM = 
selective level meter)

(the fact that you  stated "0-600KC" makes me think it is a piece of test 
gear as above.....
Comm receivers would normally start at 14 or 15 KC.)

Is there a meter?   If so, how is it calibrated?
