I believe you're thinking another firm on East Coast or Canada. Northern
Radio, or actually Northern Radiotelephone, of Seattle, made almost only
MF/HF boat radios from about 1935 to ?? 1975 or so. They built NO RTTY
or FAX eqpt, and all in all, practically nothing for the government. This
transmitter keyer is an unusual one for their catalog. NRC's vacuum tube
boat radios were all pretty substantial, old-school construction practice,
heavy metal.
