If I were to guess, I would say this sound like a chunk of of an M38, a 
1950s WE AA radar, and the replacement for the SCR-584. Or maybe 
something like it, as there were some similar WE firecontrol radars (Nike 
stuff). Clearly post World War 2. I will bet that the label should be 
"PP-1182/MS 8006012".
