The aircraft shown on my web page (see link below) does not have any
propellers, I am not
sure of the propulsion system due to the lack of detail. Perhaps some of the
list members can identify the aircraft and provide more details.
The LP-21-A Loop Antenna is clearly visible on the bottom of the fuselage.
Looking at the overall outline and design of the aircraft I personally
would think that the parasite
drag would be nominal and not be a factor in overall performance of the
aircraft throughout its entire operational envelope. However the LP-21 loop
in
its
present position would be a definite factor in ice buildup at the lower
altitudes which would degrade the ADF receiver performance and
would
enhance additional collection of ice on the under surface which would
increase weight and definitely effect performance. Just my two cents worth.
