[Milsurplus] Prc-1099 Additional Question Again!

Thanks again for the help on my friend's 1099.  He brought
it over, and it seems that the accessory plug - upper left side-
had been damaged, which prevents the plug being inserted into
the socket.  Is this plug merely a dummy with two pins jumped?
I noticed that these pins E and F are shorted.  It has been suggested
that these pins, shorted, might enables the battery to be used.
Any info?
