For info to some, the BC-230 p/o SCR-183. That's the pre-command command
set of the 30s.*

Have pal using one in AWA 1929 Old-time contest as a "'29 MOPA."

Seems legit date... But prototype date anyone?

I've a 12V BC-AR-230 here that's got a Graybar 7-26-40 contract date.
And a BC-AR-430 28V cousin by WECo with no contract date. But, since
28V, suspect later.

His '230 just running 801s since CW use. Does B+ keying to 801 final
only & evens p-s load by spdt relay-switching same against a bleeder
resistor. Smart! '2/430 was MCW & this alteration needed to make T-9
'ICW' sig.

Guy won't buy a $15 plug for the '230. But agreed to hook-up to
connector w. hobby tubing slid over it's bannana pins. Chalk
up one rescue.

I was/am in test using a civvy TX replica. Test running ~3560
until 6P Sun. night.
