GA ALL,
I recently acquired a Roanwell Headset, `with the following stock number
id on the shrink labeling on the cable
STK 5965 Z1 856 0140
H-5011/U
PT/PC 491 419 001 694
(and the usual Roanwell mfg number)
OK, now I know that the headphone has 300 ohm impedance each side elements
has a 9 pin connecter, made by Amphenol, which another source has
alleged is a 67-06-J14-9P
Anyhow, it;s got 9 pins, 8 in a circle, and one off center opposite the
keyway....
It also has a mom/on/off PTT switch in the line....
What I would like to know is the pinout of the 9 pin, the mating female
connector number, both cord and bulkhead mounting,
and also the type of microphone element (Roanwell P/N 215-030-004) This
seems like neither fish nor fowl, as it isn't the usual 8 ohm mil spec
headset and lo output mic, and I also suspect the phones to be wired in
a stereo configuration........
I really like this headset, and would like to restore it for my own
uses, with whatever adaptors would be necessary to convert
from milspec impedance (needed at one point) to civvy aircraft use
(needed at another point) to use with standard tranceivers (both civvy
and military ( yup, I realize that I need diferent impediances for both,
but that doesn't bother me one iota, I just need the darn pinout, and
some info on the mic..................
