Group,

This morning whilst shaving, a possible reason for having a 100 MA rated
DM-28 occurred to me. Some AAF aircraft were equipped Midwar? with the AN/ARR-1
(AKA USN ZB-2) which was powered from the receiver it was used with. And late
war some SCR-211's (BC-221's) were converted to TS-164/AR which also took its
B+ from an external source. Instruction sheet in a CY-182/AR that I acquired
years ago plus the AN on TS-164/AR shows power cable wired to PL-(*)103 (on
FT-154 shock mount/rack for BC-348). However, the TS-164 manual doesn't say
anything about changing the dynamotor in the BC-348.

Does any of this jog any memories?
