Eric,

The USN's ASB set included both an ASB-nomenclatured receiver and an ASB-nomenclatured transmitter.  I have the operators manual for the ASB-5 somewhere, which shows the interconnections between components.

The AN/APT-5 is an unrelated countermeasures (jamming) transmitter.
